We live on financial support, currently. It was really awkward asking people to support us--all I heard when I was talking was this: "Hey. We would like to move to another country to help people. Can we have some of your hard-earned money to do that?"Thankfully, that's not what others heard! We have a strong support system of over 70 people who are partnering with us to bring beauty and restoration to this part of the world.
Currently, Mandy is working at The Well a few times each week. The Well is a refuge for girls rescued from sex trafficking, which is not just an issue in Mexico, but all over the world. For a long time we've wanted to do something to help, but we didn't know what. Then we met some brave and inspiring people who are really loving the least of these and decided to move our little family to Mexico.
We have a burden for women and children--to see them thrive, to see them experience God's grace and love. I especially have a burden for exploited women and children. I've been so disturbed by the statistics but also overwhelmed as to what I could do that would actually make a difference. Maybe you are too. For many years, I've been here, supporting those who are on the field, doing the face to face work. Now, it's our turn to be here and so we have asked for support to make that possible. This is a way that you can speak out against the injustice and have a part in bringing healing and the hope of Christ to young girls' lives.
